Encaustic-Wax with paper is magic

At my recent Encaustic workshop I demonstrated the many ways paper is used.

LED lights work well behind rice paper that has wax monoprinted onto it.

This acrylic painting doesn't require glass to protect it after it's been dipped into melted wax.

It's such fun to draw with wax blocks onto my hot plate & do monotype prints from it.

Here's some of my Encaustic-Wax pieces on handmade papers I did in Malaga. I tried to capture the history of the Spanish countryside & the famous Paris arches.
